Titusville Police Department                                                                                                                                                                                               Chief Michael J. Simmons

The Titusville Police Department is currently comprised of fifteen full-time sworn police officers, one police K-9, and one full-time civilian administrative assistant, committed to protecting the citizens of Titusville.  The officers are well trained in all aspects of law enforcement, and diligently strive towards providing the best service possible.  One of Titusville’s officers works in the Titusville School District at the School Resource Officer during the school year.  In addition to providing law enforcement and crime prevention / drug awareness programs, the SRO serves as a liaison between the school district, students, parents and the police department.

In 2004, Titusville Police Department raised over $29,000 in community donations to purchase a police K-9 and a patrol car specially equipped for the K-9.  K-9 Kai is trained in narcotics detection, protection, tracking and article searches.  His handler and partner is Officer Clarence “Pete” Peterson.

The department provides twenty-four hour protection and has lockup facilities on site.  The officers patrol the City streets with five cruisers, and unmarked SUV, two bicycles and foot patrols.

Titusville Police Department is dispatched through Crawford County 9-1-1.  Call 9-1-1 if you have an emergency or need to speak to a Titusville Police Officer.  Officers are in radio contact with the 9-1-1 Center at all times.  The 9-1-1 Center contacts the officers on duty by radio and gives them the location and other information of incidents.  This information can be for either emergency or non-emergency situations.
