High School Crime Watch Program

"Titusville Volunteer Team"

Through a grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime & Delinquency, the Titusville Police Department through our School Resource Officer formed a youth crime watch program in the Titusville High School in 2003.  The High School Crime Watch currently has 13 members.  The HSCW meets regularly during school activity periods and at the police department for special meetings and activities.  The students learn about criminal justice, law enforcement, and crime prevention/awareness as part of the program.  In 2004, the crime watch took a trip to Washington, D.C. which was sponsored in part by a donation from the Titusville VFW.  One of the activities that the crime watch participates in is decorating the front of the police station for Halloween and handing out candy during Trick or Treat.
