Welcome to Titusville!

John Frye was appointed to council on February 9, 2004 to fill the unexpired term of Walter “Lodge” Birtciel.  In November 2005, John was elected to a regular term on council.  John was born in Oil City and raised in Knox, PA.  He attended Indiana University of PA and graduated in May of 1984 with a BS in Accounting.  He also received his teaching certification from IUP in December 1985.

John came to Titusville as a high school business education teacher in the fall of 1986.  He has worked for the school district since that time and is currently the technology coordinator for the district.  John recently married Barbara and has four step children. Barb and John enjoy living and working in Titusville and are pleased to call it home.

“I look forward to working with the other city council members and the city management to make the city the best it can be.  My goal is to be as informed as possible and make decisions that are in the best interest of the city.”
