During the month of February, we were dispatched to (5) five structure fires. (3) Three of these fires were in response to our mutual aid neighbors (Cherrytree, Hydetown, and Pleasantville).

We in the City of Titusville had (2) structure fires. Both of these fires were fires that had the potential for rapid growth. Due to the fast response and efficient operations of our crew, both were under control in under 10 minutes after arrival.

We, in the month of February were dispatched for 28 1st responder medical calls. A good 85% of these responses we are the 1st unit on location by 2 or 3 minutes. Arriving those 2 or 3 minutes faster could very well be the difference between life & death. Our abilities to administer basic life support services such as AED application, O2 administration, and CPR have tremendous positive impact on survivability of those citizens / customers  in need.

New hires (firefighters Shaun Miller, Gordon Lamey, & Troy Frazier) are logging approximately 70 hours per month in call response, station maintenance, and training activities. This is testament to the improvements made to the hiring process that allowed us obtain passionate & driven firefighters.

During the month we conducted 2 fire prevention / station tours and participated in the middle school’s career day.

Respectfully submitted
