A letter has gone out to Farley’s, Horne Textile, and Titusville Dairy as it pertains to the City of Titusville’s Industrial Pretreatment Program. A “Slug” or “Slug Load” is defined as “any discharge of a non-routine, episodic nature, or at a flow rate or concentration that would cause a violation of the prohibited discharge standards either set forth in the City’s Pretreatment Ordinance 2012 or promulgated by federal or state agencies.” The City has sent a letter with recommended changes to its Ordinance for approval by EPA prior to bringing to City Council for their approval also. 3. 12. EADS Request- the City Engineers (Gannett Fleming, GF) received a request from the EADS Engineering Group which represents Cherrytree Twp., Venango County. It includes approximately 140 homes with the potential growth in the future of 100 more customers.
